Identify and Get Rid of Spots

Red dots on your skin could be due to many different reasons. They can be found anywhere on your body, there is no specific region of their occurrence. There are many causes due to which these red spots are caused. There are times when the accurate cause of the spot is identified by knowing the affected side of the body. You should not take them lightly and must keep a close watch on them, though they are not harmful usually. In some rare cases, the ill-effect of these red spots can mark as a beginning of some very deadly diseases like skin Cancer or Leukemia. In certain cases, they may be an onset of a dreadful disease like skin cancer or leukemia. Some causes of these red spots are discussed below:
Birthmarks
Another name for birthmarks is Hemangioma. It is clearly visible immediately after the birth and is in the form of a pigmented spot. It may develop later. Hemangioma mostly develops during childhood so they can be easily distinguished from other such red spots. It is generally concerned with the disorders related to the blood vessels.
Acne Marks
These are usually of red or brown in color tone. Being flat in shape, they are called as ‘Macules’. Basically after the acne gets healed, the left over scars are referred to as ‘Macules’. The good thing is that they usually fade away with time as they are not permanent but direct sun exposure may prolong the healing procedure. Primary causes associated with Acne are: Family History, Hormonal activity, Stress, Hyperactive and Inflammation etc.
Blood Spots
Blood spots are also called as Purpura or Petechiae and they occur under the skin and arise to the surface. They are mainly due to the infection, bleeding or clotting disorders such as Vasculitis. They may be due to usage of drugs and medicines like Aspirin. These blood spots must be taken into concern as they are also considered as the symptoms of Leukemia or cancer.
Dermatofibromas
Dermatofibromas is due to accumulation of soft tissues called Fibroblasts. They are mainly found on the legs and torso. These are in the form of small, firm, red or brown bumps. They cause itching mainly on the leg and on mid of body. Physician’s advice should be taken to remove them permanently.
Pyogenic Granulomas
They are also known as pregnancy tumor. They occur due to overgrowth of tissues or hormonal growth. These are small red spots due to accumulation of blood vessels. As such there is no treatment available for this; clinical surgery is done to remove it. Red spots are very common in today’s generation due to excess of pollution and excess usage of harmful chemicals coming in day-to-day usage in the form of cosmetics and drugs. Although many of the red spots are not harmful at initial level but they can cause problems if they are not properly treated on time. If the spots are at re-occurring stage then consultation of physician must be taken and change in diet should be done. A major cause of these red spots is oil or fats in our food.
